OpenAI Hits Pause on ChatGPT's Bing Browsing Feature!

• Earlier this month, OpenAI introduced an exciting new feature called "ChatGPT Browse with Bing."

• With it, users can surf the internet and access up-to-date information efficiently.

• But in their quest for excellence, OpenAI discovered a tiny hiccup — the feature displayed information in a way they didn't want it to.

• Can you imagine asking for the full text of a website and getting more than you bargained for? Well, that is exactly what people were reporting.

🔓A Glitch in the Matrix: Paywalls and Chat-GPT

• Some crafty users discovered a workaround to bypass paywalls using the integration.

• This unintended consequence allowed them to access paid content without any financial obligation.

• Naturally, OpenAI was very clear when it came to respecting the rights of content owners. They made the tough call to temporarily disable the feature starting July 3, 2023.

• Until the issue is addressed, no more reading websites behind paywalls, folks!
